The 37th Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place this weekend. Eminem has been added to the list this year. He gave a candid speech at the event. The rapper told how he was on the verge of life and death.

“Music really saved my life… For a couple of reasons, I shouldn’t be here tonight. First, because I’m a rapper and this is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Secondly, I almost died of an overdose in 2007, it was awful…” said the musician. He then listed the artists who influenced his work. In addition, the artist performed several hits at the ceremony: “My Name”, “God of Rap” and “Sing Right Now”.
Note that the Hall of Fame also includes Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Pat Benatar, Duran Duran, The Eurythmics and Carly Simon.
