Eurovision favorites: Ukrainian government grants Kalush Orchestra permission to tour Europe before Turin final

Folk-rap band Kalush Orchestra is the favorite to win the Eurovision Song Contest next month.

Ukraine’s participation in this year’s competition has received special permission from the country’s government to travel to Europe to prepare for a big event on May 14 in Turin, Italy.

The Kalush Orchestra is a rap group named after the foothills of the Carpathians and whose music is imbued with the traditional folk voices of this region.
