Even from our era, we remember VK as a platform for aspiring writers, young musicians and artists, which is always a great start. They didn’t have to invest a lot of money to get to the top of the charts, but it was enough for them to post their “pen test” and people pushed them to the top of the ratings. Thus, VK has become a real popular platform for promoting talent. It makes more sense that at the end of 2022 there will be a continuation of this excellent story. Which? Let’s talk!
Just the other day, VK announced the launch of the VK Records direction, in which the company will create and develop its own labels. In addition, two record labels are currently working at VK Records: VK Music Records will deal with pop music, and VK Beats Records will be responsible for the hip-hop direction (and something tells us this is just the beginning). We give the floor to the producer of VK Records, Viktor Abramov.

“VK has always been a social support for artists – they became popular thanks to the tools of the platform, they published their first releases here and communicated with the audience. At the same time, there were not enough tools for monetization and licensing – a label or an aggregator. Now our music ecosystem has it,” said producer Viktor Abramov.
Note that Victor created the Respect Production label, which introduced Caste in 2002, and a website about hip-hop and rap culture rap.ru in 2004. Abramov worked as the creative director of Black Star in 2010 and headed the music agency Invite Music and the licensing agency Invite Licensing in 2021 (since May 2022, both structure and blogging agencies Invite have been under the control of MF. Technologies JSC – (Editor’s note), which controls the VK company.
