The fifth season of The Crown has not yet aired, but it has already managed to get into a huge scandal. Daily Mail journalists reported that some senior officials had called for a boycott of the series for slandering Charles III.

In one of the episodes of the fifth season, it will be told how Prince Charles (now Charles III) conspired with then-Prime Minister John Major to overthrow Elizabeth II. However, John said there was no meeting and described the conversation as “a barrel of malicious bullshit”. Another source made a similar statement.

“All the one-on-one conversations you see on screen are purely fictional and some scenes were created for dramatic and commercial purposes only. They have nothing to do with reality. People should boycott this,” the Daily Mail told an insider.
Recall that the fifth season of The Crown takes place in the 1990s. Attention will be drawn to Diana’s divorce from Prince Charles and the tragic death of the princess. It will premiere on Netflix on November 9. See the first images here!
