Girls, forgotten from #Metoo?  More than 100 personalities launch the notice

Faced with the lack of consideration for the rights of girls, a hundred personalities asked for “a real day of mobilization” in France.

If the importance of March 8 and November 25 is now recognized in the public sphere, it is different for that of October 11th. Created 10 years ago by the United Nations, the international day of rights of girls still suffering from a great invisibility.

” A program ambitious for a comprehensive sex education and against sexism “

Faced with such observations, Julie Gayet, Valérie Damidot, Rokhaya Diallo, Yael Naim, Camille Froidevaux-Metterie or even Manon Aubry insisted on the importance of this date of mobilization of 11 October in the public debate. Challenging the government of Emmanuel Macron, the signatories of the platform have called for greater awareness challenges relating to the rights of girls and adolescents:

We will reaffirm that girls must be able to make decisions, maintain control of their body, not doubt their abilities, live their civic and political commitments. We will ask the public authorities to quickly put in place an ambitious program of comprehensive sex education and against sexism, involving girls and boys in its development.

In Paris, a great manifestation it is organized on 11 October at 1pm at the Town Hall.
