Alan Rickman reveals why he continued Harry Potter despite his illness, in his memoirs

Severus Snape’s interpreter kept diaries, where he wrote his thoughts on the Harry Potter saga. Prior to the publication of these diaries, exclusive excerpts were revealed.

But, in 1992, Severus Snape’s interpreter began writing about his life, his work as an actor and in particular of his role in Harry Potter. These writings, the general public will soon have the opportunity to discover them in full in the form of a reserve entitled Madly, Deeply: Alan Rickman’s diaries (Madly, Deeply: The Alan Rickman Diaries). Waiting before its publication, the Guardian published numerous excerpts from these diaries on 24 September.

In the excerpts published by the magazine, Alan Rickman specifically mentions his encounter with JK Rowling. In 2000 he wrote: “He nervously gives me some glimpses of Snape’s past. Talking to him is talking to him someone who lives these stories, not who invents them. “
