In total, the work of 19 filmmakers will be screened at the film festival, including Lars von Trier, Paul Schroeder, Kim Ki-duk and others. This year’s international jury was chaired by actress Julianne Moore.
This year, for the first time in history, the symbol of the Venice Film Festival was the lioness instead of the lion. As conceived by the artist, it symbolizes “energy and lightness, becoming a symbol of hope, rejection of aggression and cruelty.”
