On the last day of summer in Venice, the 79th International Film Festival begins. The first celebrity guests have already been spotted in the city: Julianne Moore, who chaired the jury this year, appeared before the photographers.

Russian director Andrey Konchalovsky and his wife Yulia Vysotskaya are in Venice, currently on vacation in Italy. Journalists suggest that the couple will visit the film festival they used to frequent. As Konchalovsky noted in a recent interview, he does not believe that “success at a Western festival today can give us a start in life” and that Europe is now “carefully self-destructing”, according to him.
