Writer Teresa La Darte accused singer Taylor Swift of plagiarism. La Darte stated that the cover and booklet design of Swift’s 2019 album Lover is exactly the same as the poetry collection of the same name. Reported by TMZ.

According to the author, Swift copied the “atmosphere and design” of her collection, which was released in 2010. In documents obtained by journalists, the author suggested that Taylor and his team read “In Love” and decided to repeat the concept of the book.
He added that the title of both his collection and Taylor’s album are not the same: each work is “a memory of years past, immortalized in a combination of written and visual components.” La Darte thinks the color scheme and style of work are too similar to be a coincidence. Now the author is seeking more than $1 million in damages.
This isn’t the first time Taylor Swift has been sued for plagiarism recently: she was previously sued by songwriters Sean Hall and Nathan Butler alleging that the singer used lines from the 2001 song Playas in Shake It Off Gon’.
