Deadline has confirmed that Terry Presa, former CBS Films president and DreamWorks chief marketing officer, and former Paramount vice president John Goldwyn will be at Warner Bros. as Discovery CEO David Zaslav’s unofficial advisors. The news comes from the programming operation Warner Bros., which is overseen by HBO. It came amid layoffs at Discovery and HBO Max content chief Casey Bloys.
As the newly merged company takes over AT&T, the duo will consult on a range of issues, including marketing, but we understand they have no formal role like former Disney Chief Creative Officer and Warner Studio veteran Alan Horne.
Zaslav was a friend of Goldwyn’s on Discovery and was one of the men she sat with during the audition tour. Horn provides strategic and operational consulting.
Essentially, the press and Goldwyn are there for Zaslav to publish his ideas.
Josh Goldstein remains head of worldwide marketing. Directed Warners for the irresistible daily drama model on HBO under Jason Killarney, sand hill ($402 million) and Godzilla vs. Kong (US$ 470 million). This year’s Goldstine series marks a complete return to studio theater. most Batman ($770.8 million), Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Mysteries ($405 million), Elvis ($261.5 million) and DC Super Pets League ($110 million).
