Billionaire Oleg Deripaska (Rusal, En + Group) filed a lawsuit against Oleg Tinkov for the preservation of honor and dignity, demanding compensation of 2 billion rubles from the creator of Tinkoff Bank. Oleg Deripaska’s lawyer added that no financial claims have been made against Meta, but that the plaintiff requested that the defamatory comment be removed from the social network.

Previously, both Deripaska and Tinkov were subject to Western sanctions against the background of the Russian military special operation in Ukraine. Deripaska’s fortune is $2.9 billion, Tinkov’s fortune is about $820 million.

Oleg Deripaska previously mentioned the Russian Federation’s special military operation in Ukraine on the telegraph channel and called for the start of peace negotiations. He also predicted Russia’s “serious” financial crisis due to sanctions. Oleg Tinkov publicly condemned the military special operation and later said that he had to sell his stake in TCS Group (owner of Tinkoff Bank) due to his political position.
