At the end of the series, the writers decided to neglect the basics.

It is known that the fifth season of Stranger Things will be the last. As a result, the creators finally decided to experiment with their brainchild. In addition, according to the plan, the new methodology of the Duffer brothers should make their story better.

As it turned out, Matt and Ross decided to completely abandon the introduction of new characters to the plot – only those who appeared in the previous, fourth part remain. According to the creators, during the show’s existence, they were concerned about how the public would perceive new heroes, as the latter took up more screen time than the main participants in the story.

“Every time we introduce a new character, we want to make sure they become an integral part of the story. But constantly, when we do this, we are nervous,” the NME portal is quoting the words of the Duffer brothers.
