FBI: Alec Baldwin pulled trigger during ‘Rust’ incident
Alec Baldwin
According to ABC News, it was no accident that Alec Baldwin was filming on the set of Rust, which killed cinematographer Galina Hutchins, according to an FBI report.
The investigation found that the internal components of the propeller gun held by the player were not damaged and the gun could not fire on its own without pulling the trigger.
In an earlier interview with ABC News, Baldwin said he didn’t pull the trigger, just tilted and released it while the frame was in line.
Recall that the tragedy on the set of “Rust” took place in October 2021. The lead actor, Alec Baldwin, fired the propeller gun, which turned out to be loaded with real ammunition. The shooting killed cinematographer Galina Hutchins and injured film director Joel Souza.
Despite not being responsible for the props, Baldwin is accused by the Hutchins family of ignoring safety concerns on set.
