For several days, the scandal associated with the Chanel fashion house has not subsided on the Web. The fact is that representatives of the brand openly announced that they limit the possibility of buying in their boutiques for Russians.
The first to talk about this were TV presenter Victoria Bonya, DJ Ekaterina Guseva and PR agent Marina Ermoshkina. The girls posted a video on the Web in which they “untie” Chanel bags and cut accessories worth about 400 thousand rubles with scissors.
Olga Buzova could not get past the high-profile scandal. Unlike her colleagues, she did not spoil her expensive items. Instead, the singer shared pictures showing her Chanel collection and addressing the brand’s management.
“I have a few of your bags and some shoes, and I’ve always happily bought them all with my honest hard earned money! I wore it with great pleasure and I was happy to be a part of such a historical and legendary brand. I remember how in the early 2000s you dedicated your collection to our beautiful country, Russia. And all the fashionistas of the world were after the limited bags of that season. I wanted a bag from your brand that you named after the woman I’ve always loved so much – Princess Diana. In honor of the woman who did a lot of good and always stood against equality, hatred and racism, ”Olga wrote in her social networks.
The singer added that she was offended by the actions of the leadership of the fashion house. “Now the Russian market is closed to Chanel forever. Even at the gardener, your bags will not be searched. I am a citizen of Russia. I am proud of my origin. I am proud to live in this country. And I am extremely disturbed that a brand with almost a century of history is treating my country so aggressively,” he added.
In the end, Olga added that she asked the representatives of the Assembly to return all the money spent on her. “I appeal to your brand management, demanding a refund of my purchase! I will double the money I receive and transfer it to the Joy of Old Age charity foundation.”
