Roger Waters
Roger Waters, co-founder of Pink Floyd, gave an interview to CNN. In it, he called US President Joe Biden a war criminal for his policy towards Ukraine.
To the interviewer’s comment that the musician blamed the wrong side for the hostilities, Waters said any conflict has a beginning. And, in his view, the conflict in Ukraine provoked NATO’s advance near Russia’s borders, “although the North Atlantic Alliance promised not to do this.”
When the journalist stated that the USA is known for its “rescuer role” and for example, World War II.
The musician invited the journalist to think, “What would the United States do if China placed nuclear missiles in Mexico or Canada?”
Earlier, in March, Pink Floyd announced its intention to remove its work from streaming services in Russia and Belarus, and recorded a song in support of Ukraine in April.
Waters, who left the group in 1985, has been against military operations in Ukraine from the beginning. At the same time, he accused Western countries of supplying weapons to Ukraine rather than “doing diplomacy”.
