Her first comic is like her publications: committed and incisive. Driven by bright colors and sinuous characters, the album deals with the endless injunctions on women’s bodies : “Don’t be too covered, but don’t be too naked”, “Don’t be modest, but also don’t have too liberated sexuality”, etc. Combining rants and historical memories, Eve Cambreleng pedagogically traces the evolution of the role and place of women in our society. And to do themselves justice ever since “No one else can do it “Driven by anger and united by a saving sisterhood, they try to regain control of their lives. The Franco-Swiss author, co-creator of the feminist literary zine It was lovely, but now I have to scream here he signs a first sparkling novel, carried by an electric breath as comforting as it is irritating. An attempt : Cancel the sexist discourse in the mediaby Rose Lamy

Sexist speech in the media

“What was he wearing?” “; “It is a drama, a passionate crime, the mad gesture of a rejected lover”; “It was a confusion, an awkwardness, an inappropriate gesture”; “What was he doing out there at this hour?” “It was another time” … Since 2019, Rose Lamy has collected and dissected on her Instagram account “Get ready for the fight” a bunch of examples of a sexist and antifeminist speech at work daily in the media. This commitment generated a formidable essay. As toolbox as an electric shock, this accessible book, which has met with great success since its publication in late 2021, reviews the semantics of print to highlight its role in building public opinion. Whether on the guilt of the victims or on the sexual violence or helplessness of the aggressors. To buy urgently!
