When asked why he decided to speak out in support of Depp, he replied referring to the actor and also to his friend, the designer John Galliano, who in 2011 was found guilty of anti-Semitic insults:
“I believe in truth and I believe in fairness and justice. I know John Galliano is not a bad man: he had a drinking problem and people are out there. People are not themselves when they drink and say things they would never say if they were sober.
He added: “I know the truth about John [Depp]. I know I’ve never pushed him down the stairs. I had to tell the truth. “
Depp, who was in a relationship with Moss between 1994 and 1998, won a lawsuit against his ex-wife Heard last month. The two plaintiffs who initially sued in the infamous case have now challenged the verdict, which largely favored Depp.
