’70s pop diva Cher revealed she had three miscarriages as a young woman when she was married to Sonny Bono. She posted an unexpected confession on Twitter the day before. She had her first miscarriage at the age of 18.
“I had three miscarriages when I was young. The first happened at 18. Then I was home alone. When Sonny got home I was on the floor screaming in pain,” Cher wrote.
“After my life turned into a nightmare. People congratulated me when they found out I was pregnant, and then I had to report what had happened to me. I just couldn’t hear it,” Cher continued.
Fortunately, she had her first child a few years later from Sonny Bono. She married a producer at the age of 16. The couple had a future transgender daughter, Chastity (now named Chaz). They divorced after 10 years of marriage, and Cher married Gregg Oman three days later. Their relationship ended as quickly as it began, but despite this, Cher managed to give birth to her second child – the son of Elijah.
