Queen won’t approve: Buckingham Palace wants to turn into a bar

Tim Martin, owner of Wetherspoons, has offered to turn one of London’s top venues into a bar. “Even if I insisted on taking over the whole of Buckingham Palace, I would only attend part of the garden,” the businessman told MyLondon.

Tim Martin has also promised to retain the furniture and decor of Buckingham Palace because he believes it will be good fodder for tourists and locals alike. Meanwhile, the entrepreneur had previously turned old cinemas and banks into bars.
