Chanel announces that she refuses to sell goods to the Russians
The Chanel fashion house explained why the brand’s stores may refuse to serve customers from Russia – the reason is EU sanctions.
– Company representatives responded to RBC’s request, stating that restrictions apply to certain products that cost more than 300 Euros under EU law.
Earlier, numerous reports appeared on the network that Chanel stores in Dubai, Paris and Milan refused to sell goods to Russians or demanded a receipt guaranteeing that they would not be worn in Russia.
The company apologized for the inconvenience and promised to work on “improving the process”, emphasizing that Chanel treats customers from all over the world with “equal and unwavering respect”.
However, this explanation did not suit everyone.

Even before the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions due to the situation in Ukraine, which included the ban on the import of luxury goods, many luxury brands (Hermes, LVMH and Kering companies) suspended deliveries to Russia and temporarily closed their boutiques on its territory. .
