It’s the event that James Franco fans have been waiting for: the actor is returning to the movies after a sex scandal. The star will play the lead role in Danish director Bille August’s drama I, You.

The film tells the story of Marco, a young man who finds himself in a difficult life story with his friend, an American soldier. The official synopsis reads, “Highly sensitive and bittersweet, I You explores the tragedy of love, the age of innocence, and the bitter realities of war.”

The drama also stars Tom Hollander (of The Night Manager fame) and Daisy Jacob. Filming will begin in September on the Italian island of Ischia.
Recall that last year, James Franco confessed to his guilt 3 years after being accused of sexual harassment. Prior to that, James denied any involvement with it. He gave an interview to SiriusXM radio station and said that he had sex with his students at acting school.
