The court gave the husband of rapper Nicki Minaj Kenneth Petty a year of house arrest. According to TMZ, this sentence for Petty was chosen because he didn’t register as a sex offender in time after he moved to California.

The 44-year-old man will have to spend a year under house arrest. He was also sentenced to 3 years probation. Petty will also have to pay a $55,000 fine. Meanwhile, prosecutors demanded 15 months in prison and 5 years probation for Petty.

Recall that Kenneth Petty was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl, she was sentenced to one and a half to 4.5 years in prison. He served four years and is considered a Level 2 sex offender in New York State, which means he is at risk of repeat offending. After moving to California in 2019, she did not register with the police as an illegal sex offender. He confessed his guilt.
