The Moscow Basmanny Court confiscated the property of blogger Nika Belotserkovskaya: an apartment and a parking lot in Moscow and St. real estate in St. Petersburg. This was reported by TASS with reference to the court’s press service.

– said Ekaterina Buravtsova, the press secretary of the court.

Earlier, in March, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation filed a criminal case against Belotserkovskaya for “discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”, based on her posts on Instagram*.

After a criminal case was opened against him, Belotserkovsky transferred part of his estate to his relatives. He also left the Sobaka.ru publication, which he has owned since 1999. A media worker and cookbook writer, Belotserkovskaya has lived abroad for many years, owning a villa on the Cote d’Azur in France, where she currently houses refugees from Ukraine.

In May, the court arrested Nika Belotserkovskaya in absentia: she faces a fine of up to 3 million rubles and a prison sentence of up to 10 years for “willingly spreading false information about the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.” Belotserkovsky reacted to this with a sarcastic post with accusations against the Russian authorities.
