Jean-Louis Trintignant took part in the film as the narrator – this is the last work of the master. You can also hear the voices of Gerard Depardieu, Dominique Blanc and Denis Podalydes in the cartoon. The music was composed by composer Alexandre Desplat.

The audience will be told about a lumberjack and his wife who lived in a Polish forest during the Second World War. They have no children. One day, while collecting food, he saw a package thrown from a freight train. Inside was a little girl whom the Jewish father’s wife had decided to get rid of because she no longer had milk to feed her two twins. Against her husband’s will, the woodcutter’s wife decides to keep the precious cargo and raise the child as her own. Later, they both realize that the train is going to Auschwitz concentration camp.
