Turkish media and bloggers criticized the brand: They disrespected the bread in the ad campaign. The hashtag #zarahaddinibil (Zara, know when to stop) went viral on social networks.
Some users point to Turkish traditions regarding bread: When residents see bread on the road, they never step on it, they slide it to places where animals can eat it.
Other opponents of the Zara ad campaign accused the brand of being “insensitive” to starving people.
