Recall that the organizers of the Wimbledon tournament decided to exclude Daniil Medvedev and other Russian tennis players from participation in the competition due to the situation in Ukraine. In turn, the major tennis associations took away the ranking points at Wimbledon.

Medvedev became the third Russian tennis player to top the ATP rankings. In 1999, Yevgeny Kafelnikov became the world’s first racket, and from November 2000 to November 2001 Marat Safin and Brazilian Gustavo Kuerten occupied the first and second places three times.
