Elgin James: Yes, we always knew we wanted to go there. We definitely stepped on the gas a bit in season 4. Kurt was creating these characters. James: Isaac’s club was San Bernardino and he was fired for making horror movies. That lost soul is Isaac Packer. Ray McKinnon has always been number one for me. Who was on the list? It was Kurt who told me to slow down because we had to do our own thing first. When we finally bring in Kim, we deserve it. It was as inevitable as war. I know it’s hard for fans to wait for the first two seasons because Kurt was building this bridge.

Deadline: What do you think of the conversation between Tig and Álvarez?
