SPOILER ALERT: Below are key plots from FX’s Mayans MC Season 4 finale.
If there are doubts about the fate of Coco (Richard Cabral) on FX yeast mcThe season 4 finale confirms the death of a beloved character while finally being put to rest. His life, like that of others who joined similar circles, was interrupted by an easily avoidable act of violence.
But there’s no point in crying over how things can happen. Instead, Johnny “El Coco” Cruz left as a hero worthy of a Marine who sacrificed himself for his country. In a particularly emotional scene, Coco’s best friend and brother-in-law Gilli (Vincent “Rocco” Vargas) gifted Coco’s daughter the American flag she wore on her skirt.
Vargas in particular is a true war veteran who has proudly served his country in the army.
The ending also goes for Kim Coates as Tigy on Epic. sons of anarchy To go past. While Venus van Damme (Walton Goggins) is a beautiful destination, it was so nice to see Tig in Santo Padre.
Tigy was taken aback by the “return of the demon we all thought died in the desert.” The demon he refers to is Isaac (JR Bourne), the leader of Mount Meth, who revealed hidden tattoos on Sons of Anarchy’s bodies at the end of last season.
It turns out that Isaac is the younger brother of Les Packer (Robert Patrick), director of SAMCRO San Bernardino. Lesie was last told she was treated for cancer in season 3, but it has been confirmed that she is still alive and well tonight.
Co-founder Elgin James was really trying to bring the past into the present when she met Tig and Marcus Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) face-to-face to discuss club affairs. At the start of the season, Álvarez may have reclaimed the rule from his cousin Bishop (Michael Irby), but he’s still in the dark about many things, including the death of Montes (Jacob Vargas) that has caused SAMDINO to take revenge. in Maya. . .
Tigy and Alvarez talk about the elders and how they’ve changed since they were last on the battlefield together, and their regrets from the past. Top of that list is the loss of Álvarez’s son, Isa (played by Kevin Alejandro). sons of anarchy) and the desire to avenge his death. Isaiah is shot in the back by SAMCRO’s Happy Lowman (David Labrava), the same killer who took down EZ’s (JD Pardo) mother, Marisol Dita Galindo (Ada Maris). The joke was as good as the sad witness.
“You know what we’re doing can be ugly, but we do it,” Tigi told Álvarez. “People write about food, I say, throw them on the ball. Our day will come soon, you and me. ”
Shout out to everyone on memory lane with me on this journey, but I’m going to touch you.
EZ starts to spread into new regions and doesn’t listen to logic. The Godfather tries to make peace between Maya and SAMCRO, but EZ doesn’t find out. He organizes the expulsion of Álvarez from the MC and, shocked a second time by the bishop’s pistol, declares himself de facto president. In season 5 with the club – if the series starts again – the Mayan War will begin.
Further details of the episode will be discussed in the Q&A with Elgin James below.
Deadline: Is this our fantasy or is EZ over it?
Elgin James: Yes, we always knew we wanted to go there. We definitely stepped on the gas a bit in season 4. Kurt was creating these characters. [Sutter] I talked about how EZ was going down that road and going to Stanford, but that was never going to happen. The world would spit on him where he belonged, that would always be his destiny. I wasn’t sure if I went out for three seasons, but now it’s over. He makes the wrong decisions, but treats her the way he treated his dog when he was little, which he did things no one else could do. . He’s doing it right now in a club with egos like Bishop. [Michael Irby]Angel [Clayton Cardenas]. And I don’t mean ego negatively.
Deadline: Like Álvarez who wants to exchange peace?
James: Álvarez wants to do the right thing. Horror has a track record of 11 seasons and now he wants to save it. This refers to him, not the hungry machine that Maya wants to eat and kill humans with. He thrives on blood and filth. So at that rate, EZ was like, “I’m the only one who can handle this beast.”
Deadline: How Coco’s Death Pushed EZ Even More Into the Darkness
James: They made this connection from the first season, it was the cosmic connection. The disconnection in season 3 is unfortunate. I know it’s a problem for people when we lose Coco, but it serves a purpose. When they see Richard Cabral in the writer’s room this season, I’m sure they have conspiracy theories. But this is how it feels; We’ve all lost people we love. So if it’s not your 95-year-old grandparents, it’s always gross and awesome. And, unfortunately, it happens very often when a person combines their work. It was important for us to feel that, so we set it up to nod to people even if they force them to say they will never watch the show again. We will not finish our cocoa loss study.
Deadline: The topic of how EZ got out of jail has been on the agenda this season. Isn’t his deal with Kevin Jimenez (Maurice Compte) dead?
James: I wonder… it’s something that comes back and was one of the prerequisites for the entire show. Although he left in the first season, he didn’t really go. I think as a viewer it takes some patience to watch a show where there is nothing in a vacuum. We talked about more mountains in Season 1, but we didn’t see them until Season 3. Many things look like Isaac’s tattoos.
Deadline: So much has been discovered about Isaac, and it’s terrible.
James: Isaac’s club was San Bernardino and he was fired for making horror movies. That lost soul is Isaac Packer. Finally, we talk about how you drive bad decisions away from family ties. that’s what happened [Les] Pecker, who was trying to protect his little brother but probably had to be shot in the back. Instead he became a nomad and started his own family, not to mention a cult family. He would still be there if he hadn’t realized his brother’s illness. Like EZ, Isaac doesn’t trust anyone to get things done in his brother’s absence. So he comes home to fix everything. Now it is fully back and we will see electricity.
Deadline: Can we see Lesbie again next season?
James: We’ll see. He did not die!
Deadline – Talks about Kim Coates’ return to this world.
James: It was incredible! That’s what I’ve wanted to do since pilot day. Kurt and I were there and we had a list of mostly dead people we wanted to get back to. Ray McKinnon has always been number one for me. Who was on the list? It was Kurt who told me to slow down because we had to do our own thing first. When we finally bring in Kim, we deserve it. It was as inevitable as war. I know it’s hard for fans to wait for the first two seasons because Kurt was building this bridge.
Deadline: What do you think of the conversation between Tig and Álvarez?
James: To get Tig back, we needed to make sure the time was right and talk to her and Alvarez. I always saw that scene with them; The meeting of two old and wounded warriors after 11 seasons. This conversation between them is the conversation Emilio and I talk about that we’re getting old and want to start a fire again. You talk about all the damage you’ve done and you don’t want to do it anymore. That’s why Tigy says: “It’s not about getting old, it’s about being a good man.” Kim really put her heart and soul into this scene because she gets it too.
Deadline: Why Don’t You Bring Walton Goggins Back?
James: Brother, that would be a dream! Let’s see what will happen. Let’s bring this into the world. I have a little notebook with a list of all the people you want to come back to, like Jimmy Smiths as Nero.
Deadline: Miguel finally discovers the truth about his origin. How will this change him?
James: It goes beyond pulling the carpet from under emotionally. More ground cracks and you fall. At this point, it doesn’t make sense emotionally. How was he cheated on in his life? But it also explains why it didn’t fit so well in his dad’s shoes. And why his father stayed away from him, and why he couldn’t get his father’s love no matter what he did. Also, her mother treated her a little bit. This is what destroys you and also heals you. But he also, like the Count of Monte Cristo, had a plan to get back to the top. Part of that was the destruction of EZ Reyes. Now everything gets harder for him because now how can you kill your brother?
Deadline: Kill your father?
James: This is for season 5. You’ll have to wait and see.
Deadline: In the finale, there’s this scene where SAMCRO shoots EZ and his girlfriend while they’re riding their motorcycles down the road. This truck is on the road and becomes part of the accident. Is this Jacks (Charlie Hunnam) downfall?
James: ᲨIt is possible. We are all the same DNA. It’s nice to have an audience we haven’t seen before. sons of anarchy We also have fans following us. I guess they don’t understand that we are our own program, but these fingerprints are there. [of Sons]. people call us brown sons of anarchy And that’s not what we are. But that doesn’t mean when Kim Coates is on set, there’s no acting and the group is waiting to take a selfie. Hopefully we can get Kim back next season and maybe get a few more of these beautiful artistic and creative moments that really feel like heavyweight fights.
Terim: Where are things, what awaits us in the future?
James: We always start the show with more than one script from the first season. So we had to go even further. Season 4 is back to the pinnacle of how far you can go in the story and still make sense. Topics have always been thematically linked, so you need to pay attention. The point is, we can start getting everything back by season five. Did you see everyone come home? We’ve moved away and now we’re moving towards something. I’ll tell you, it will be explosive.
