Tammy Williams owns most of the new TV studios in Atlanta. Until now, Tyler Perry was the only black man to own a studio in the state, but that deal makes her the first black woman to own a $ 135 million studio and post-production facility.

According to the black company, he has been working to do this for over ten years. “We have been patient,” she said. “It wasn’t overnight, it was a vision for us.” Williams has more than two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, primarily producing and directing Christian content. She collaborated on this deal with business partner Gary Giddr, who is the CEO of G-Square Events, a foundation of Cinema South Studios.

They will kick off a big trailer in March for Cinema South Studios, located north of Fayette County. Covering an area of 60 acres, the studio is fully equipped with 11 soundstages, a retro, lighting and a house for the rental of the flu, props and costumes. There will be a shipping company and an office building at the production facility, where the theater and post-production will be located. Williams is quickly monitoring the studio building and aims to make things semi-functional by early 2023.

“Sound scenes are in demand around the world and the property rarely looks like us, let alone an African American woman,” Giddy said in an official statement, according to the AJC. “When I choose to invest, I appreciate the need for businesses and properties. “Investing in Tammy Williams and her professional team convinced me to buy land in Fayetteville, Georgia.”
