Chris Rock and Dave Chapel will perform a joint cabaret show at London’s O2 Arena later this year.
The two stars of the American sitcom will perform in a joint concert on Saturday, September 3, just weeks after they were both attacked on stage in separate incidents. The joint concert at London’s O2 Arena is currently their only UK performance.
In one of the most dramatic moments in Oscar history, Rock was pummeled by Will Smith, now called “Slap”, after joking with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, leading to great results and a long period of inner searching.
Chapel was attacked by a man who took the stage in Los Angeles as part of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival, and Chapel and Rocky joked about the situation two days later at a Comedy Store concert.
Although Smith was banned from attending the Oscars for a decade, Isaiah Lee, the man accused of assaulting Chapelle, has pleaded not guilty to four felonies and carrying a firearm containing a switch. He has since been arrested and charged with attempted murder in December for stabbing his roommate with a knife.
