The musician suspended the promotion of his new songs due to the fires in California. Deadline writes that the concert scheduled for January 25 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena will not take place “out of respect and concern for the residents of Los Angeles County.”
“This city has always been a deep source of inspiration for me and my thoughts are with everyone affected by it during this time. “I remain focused on supporting the recovery of these communities and helping incredible people heal,” the singer wrote on her social media page.
The new concert date has not been announced yet. The show was supposed to be part of the presentation of The Weeknd’s new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, which is scheduled to be released on January 24. It will now go on sale on January 31st.
