Fire destroyed Mel Gibson’s Malibu mansion. The 69-year-old actor found the strength to visit the place where the tragedy occurred.
The director and actor was seen in the passenger seat of a friend’s car and tried to hide his face with a baseball cap. The images were published on the Daily Mail’s website. His mansion, which cost approximately 145 billion rubles, burned down. Gibson has lived in this house for the last 14 years.
“I knew my neighborhood was on fire and I thought, ‘I wonder if my house is still there?’ But when I got home, of course, it wasn’t there. I came home and said to myself, ‘At least I don’t have these annoying plumbing problems anymore,'” he told NewsNation in a phone interview.
The actor, who was trying to make a joke, added that all his personal belongings and photographs were lost in the fire. Gibson described his home as “perfectly toasted.”
