Telegram messenger has become profitable for the first time in three years after the launch of monetization. Founder Pavel Durov announced this on his own account.

This profit is associated with the monetization that occurs on messenger in 2021, namely ads and paid subscriptions activated on channels. Before this, Telegram had no paid features for seven years.
