Francis Ford Coppola announced a new project that will begin shooting in 2025.

In an interview with The Washington Post, the director said that he would move to London after the Christmas holidays to begin production on the film. The new film will be called Gaze of the Moon and will be described as a “weird ’30s-style musical.”
The project is based on Edith Wharton’s novel of the same name, published in 1922. The plot of the book tells about newlyweds who enter into a marriage of convenience but manage to fall in love with each other over time. Coppola also cited the 1937 comedy classic The Awful Truth as the film’s inspiration.
Let us also remind you that the highly anticipated premiere of the movie Megalopolis, which the director has been working on for many years, will be held in Russia on January 9. A Russian trailer of the film was previously published on the internet.
