At the Turin Film Festival, the star presented his new film “Bloodless”. It is an adaptation of Alessandro Baricco’s novel of the same name, starring Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir (The Hateful Eight, A Better Life). The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2024.
“I am happy that Alessandro Baricco entrusted me with the adaptation of his book with its unique position and emotions. The novel answers all the questions we seek after trauma or loss,” Jolie said in an interview with Deadline. She also noted that she really enjoyed working with Hayek: “My entire team is a real blessing. I have rarely met such results-oriented people.”
The story focuses on a girl named Nina (Salma Hayek), whose parents are murdered before her eyes. A few decades later, a girl accidentally meets a murderer.
