Two-time Oscar nominee Bette Midler recently announced that the script for Hocus Pocus 3 is ready, Deadline writes.
It must be the witch’s season if Bette Midler brings in Winifred Sanderson for another round of Hocus Pocus. As the actress shared: “You know, they sent me the script. And most of it was great.” The director also added: “I’m so excited. Now we’re trying to figure out what it is, where it’s going to be, how much it’s going to cost and all that.”
Midler, who played Salem witch Winifred Sanderson in the original Hocus Pocus (1993), reunited with her on-screen sisters Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy in the highly anticipated 2022 sequel, which broke Disney+’s record of 2.7 billion minutes watched in one week.
Following the sequel’s success, Walt Disney Studios Head of Motion Picture Production Sean Bailey confirmed that a third film is in development. “There’s no change other than we want to do it. We’ve had some conversations,” Parker said in July.
By the way, recently the creators of Stranger Things talked about a spin-off that would feature new characters.
