Sam Rivers, bassist and co-founder of the legendary rock band Limp Bizkit, passed away at the age of 49. The death of the musician was announced on the band’s official account on a banned social network.

“We lost our brother today. Sam Rivers was not only our bassist, he was a true magician. From the first note we played together, Sam brought a light and rhythm to the music that is irreplaceable,” wrote Fred Durst. Sam Rivers’ cause of death is still unknown.
Let us remind you that the legendary rock band Limp Bizkit was founded in 1994 in Jacksonville (Florida). The group also includes Fred Durst, Wes Borland, John Otto and DJ Lethal.
In 2015, Sam Rivers admitted that he was struggling with liver disease, which forced him to leave the band. He later underwent a liver transplant and returned to the team in 2018, continuing to tour with Limp Bizkit.
Sam Rivers’ first wife was Roxy McMahon. The couple married on December 1, 1999, and their daughter was born in August 2000. Six years later, their marriage broke up. Rivers later married Kinter Atkins.
