The actress’ body was cremated in Richmond, south-west London, where mourners sang hymns throughout. His funeral took place where many famous people are buried, including Margaret Thatcher.
The guests arrived at the ceremony at four o’clock in the afternoon. “Today is a wonderful farewell to Maggie Smith. He was warm and loving. It was very touching but not sad because her life was lived so richly,” one guest told the Daily Mail.
