Quentin Tarantino still hasn’t seen Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Dune. And it’s not a lack of time. The director deliberately ignores the film.
Despite the admiration of audiences and critics, Tarantino has no intention of delving into the history of the conflict between the Atherides and the Harkonnens. “I’ve seen David Lynch’s Dune a few times. I don’t need to watch this story again. I don’t need to see the spice worms. I don’t need to watch a movie where the word ‘spice’ is pronounced that dramatically,” Quentin said on the latest episode of The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast.

The director explained that he has nothing against Denis Villeneuve, but he knew the content of the film in advance and was not interested in watching another remake. By the way, Tarantino also talked excitedly about the new episode of Joker in the same issue. This is what impressed the movie legend the most.
