Keira Knightley tries to be a progressive mother and raise her daughters without stereotypes. Therefore, he even deprived them of cartoons, but admitted that this was unnecessary.

The actor decided to break the strict rule about watching Disney fairy tales, where princes constantly save princesses. She wanted her daughters not to see it as the norm to rely on men for everything, but they already understood everything.

“During the Covid epidemic, all my ideas were dispersed. Edie, the eldest daughter, was still watching what she wanted. But one day he asked: “Why does someone always save the princess?” And I replied: “Because it was written a long time ago, and now it seems ridiculous, because you can save yourself,” he said in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Keira Knightley’s educational ideas regularly cause heated public debate. A few years ago, he announced that he would not allow his children to act in films. Fans responded with a wave of hate, saying that a celebrity’s heirs have the right to choose their own career.

Recall that Keira Knightley married musician James Righton in 2013. Together they are raising daughters Edie and Delilah. The star previously gave a lengthy interview in which she talked about Pirates of the Caribbean, motherhood and popularity. Read here.
