The drama, created by Aaron Guzikowski, received critical acclaim in its first season, with critics praising the second season 86% on RottenTomatoes and 84% on Metacritic.
The series is about two androids tasked with raising humans on a mysterious virgin planet. When a growing human colony is threatened with disintegration due to religious differences, the androids learn that controlling people’s faith is a difficult and dangerous task.
Despite a change from season two and an exciting upswing, Deadline announced last week that HBO Max won’t be getting a third season.
Abubaker Salim, one of the stars of the show, announced the cancellation and went on to explain that there is still hope for the show’s life if there is little help from the crew.
“When we speak, Scott Free [Productions] “The creator keeps the show going in other homes,” wrote Salim. “I demand action. I see pure love, passion and questions (too much) popping up on Twitter for RBW every day. Now please go ahead and push this true love even stronger here, there and everywhere as we search for this new home. display it.”
