WhatsApp plans to roll out a new “read all” feature on Android that will allow users to mark all messages in personal and group chats as read with a single click. This was reported by the WABetaInfo portal.

“WhatsApp is working on a feature to quickly mark all chats as read. This shortcut will provide users with a simple and efficient way to manage their unread chats and will allow them to mark all conversations as read in a single action,” he said.
It’s worth noting that the Android feature is still in development and is only available to a limited number of beta testers. There’s a new “read all” option in the expanded menu in the “Chats” tab. Once enabled, all unread messages will be marked as read and the unread message indicator will disappear in chats. A similar feature was previously added for iOS users, pioneered by Telegram.
