Chrissy Teagan and John Legend’s six-year-old son Miles has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The musician told People in an interview how the condition has affected their family.

The singer shared her initial feelings after learning of the boy’s illness. “I realized this was going to change his life and ours, but I also thought, ‘We can do this,'” she said.
The legend shared that what happened to his son brought the family together. “We feel like a team and we know we can do this. It makes us stronger,” John said.
The father-of-four also explained that Miles’ diagnosis was in the “early stages” and that he and his partner “need to be more aware”.
Recall that Chrissie Teagan and John Legend got married in 2013. As we wrote, the couple has four children: daughters Luna, Esty Maxine Stevens and sons Miles and Ren Alexander Stevens. In 2020, the singer had a miscarriage.
