The 28-year-old actress turned out to be a fan of cartoons. And if she were offered this role in the film adaptation of the cartoon, Anya would be in seventh heaven. “It’s so much fun to throw ice from your hands! And you will be the star of every children’s party.
“Now that all my siblings have kids, I wish they could say, ‘My aunt’s name is Elsa.’ That would be really nice,” Taylor-Joy told Vogue Hong Kong.
Anya also stated that she is completely addicted to hard work, so despite the demand for movies, she wants to stage a musical based on Frozen in which she will play the leading role.
A loose adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen, the first Frozen film was released in 2013 and follows young Princess Anna as she embarks on a journey to bring her sister, Queen Elsa, back to the kingdom of Arendelle after her powers have taken over, leaving her an outcast in society.
To date, both Frozen films have grossed nearly 270 billion rubles at the global box office. In November 2023, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 are already in development.
