Titanic star Kate Winslet has revealed how her husband Ned Rocknroll once saved her life.
Kate was on vacation with her children on Necker Island. While on vacation, a violent storm suddenly hit, and then lightning struck the house and started a fire. Ned Rocknroll, who had just met at the time, was the first to come to the aid of the star and her children.
“It became very clear to me that she was the one I needed to hold on to in this life. And I still feel that way,” he said, as quoted by The Telegraph. By the way, their common son Bear’s middle name is Blaze, which translates from English as “fiery”.
Let’s recall that Kate Winslet and Ned Rocknroll got married in 2012, a year after they met. The celebration took place in New York. Only the closest people were invited to the wedding. The actress has two more children from previous marriages: daughter Mia and son Joe.
Note that Ned Rocknroll’s real name is Edward Abel Smith. He officially changed his name in 2008.
