Since giving birth (and therefore having a mini me constantly attached to me), breakfast has become a priority to keep energy levels high. Salty, necessarily, to avoid the invariable spike in blood sugar and the subsequent crash. From the traditional avocado toast to the egg and salmon muffin, here are three easy and tasty recipes for a savory breakfast.

If you’re used to devouring toast or pastries, you probably know that after an hour or two, your stomach growls again, or even, you’re perhaps subject to spikes (and crashes) in blood sugar?

The traditional avocado toast

Having become a staple in our dishes, avocado toast is the breakfast we think of when we talk about eating savory in the morning. Here is one recipe among others, simple and effective while still being tasty!

The necessary ingredients :

  • 2 large slices of whole wheat bread (or whatever you prefer)
  • 1 lawyer
  • 1 egg
  • 1 lemon, salt, pepper, olive oil

Avocado Toast Recipe :

  • Poach the egg (or hard boil if you prefer)
  • Cut the avocado into thin slices or mash it in a bowl, as you prefer.
  • On a plate, arrange the two slices of bread of your choice
  • Spread the avocado on the slices of bread, then add the poached egg once cooked.
  • Season with lemon, salt, pepper, sesame seeds, olive oil… whatever makes you happy!

Tomato and fresh cheese toast

Refreshing and tasty, this recipe is ideal for summer breakfasts.

The necessary ingredients :

  • 2 nice slices of bread of your choice
  • 1 medium sized tomato
  • Fresh cheese (Saint Môret type)
  • Olive oil and salt

Tomato and cream cheese toast recipe:

  • Divide the two slices of bread on the plate
  • Cut the tomato into thin slices
  • Spread the slices of bread with cream cheese
  • Arrange the cherry tomatoes on top
  • Add salt, pepper, a drizzle of olive oil and it’s ready to eat!

Egg and salmon muffin

If you like the principle of the egg and bacon muffin, but you don’t like bacon, here’s the salmon version.

The ingredients :

  • 1 muffin or small bread that is close to it
  • 1 slice of salmon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of cheese of your choice

Egg and salmon muffins recipe :

  • Toast both sides of your savory sandwich or muffin in the toaster
  • Spread them out on a plate
  • Cook the egg in a soft-boiled form
  • Put a slice of cheese on your sandwich
  • Place the slice of salmon on top
  • Add the egg to the soft-boiled egg
  • Season with salt, pepper…
  • Close the sandwich with the other part
  • Enjoy!
