Telegram founder Pavel Durov was nominated for the Nobel Prize. This was announced by the Rector of the International Eurasian University, Chairman of the BRICS House Konstantin Klimenko.

Klimenko called the businessman “an extraordinary personality and a leader of the new era of digital technologies” and invited him to participate in the Dubai BRICS Investment Forum. According to him, the call for Durov to be awarded the Nobel Prize was supported by a number of public organizations and universities in Africa and Asia.
The rector of the International Eurasian University added in an interview with URA.ru that if the entrepreneur is not released from the French prison, he will be given the opportunity to participate in the forum remotely.
Let us also recall that the billionaire was detained while getting off a private jet at Paris Le Bourget Airport. Durov will remain in custody until August 28. The businessman is being questioned as part of an investigation into 12 crimes.
