50 UNESCO World Heritage sites could disappear by 2050, the Daily Mail reports, citing analytics organisation Climate X.

While these UNESCO sites could disappear due to climate change (they wrote about the risks of warming in Antarctica here ), all are more vulnerable than others to the impact of extreme weather, hurricanes, storms and warming.

The most significant objects that could have disappeared included the Jungfrau-Aletsch region in the Swiss Alps, the Sydney Opera House and the architectural monument of the Ming and Qing dynasties – the Xidi and Hongcun settlements in the southern Chinese province of Anhui.
Also at risk: the Chauvet Cave in southern France, the Sun Temple – Konarak in India, the Srebarna Nature Reserve in Bulgaria, the Danube Delta in Romania, the historic buildings in Bergen, Norway and the Forth Bridge in Scotland.
