A window cleaner is trying to prove he owns the only portrait of William Shakespeare painted during his lifetime – but something is stopping him from selling his work, reports the Sun.

Stephen Wadlow, 58, is trying to prove that he owns the original portrait of the great playwright, but he says there is still skepticism in the academic community about his story because he was a representative of the working class.
The examination has already proven that the portrait is from the correct period, is not a copy and resembles the only original portrait. A man can get £200 million (23.8 billion rubles) for a painting. Note.).
Stephen’s father, an antiques dealer, bought the portrait in the 1960s. It hung in the family’s living room until a TV programme about Shakespeare came on. A lot of money had already been saved up for the exam.
