The Sochi Khostinsky District Court, satisfying the claims of the Yuri Shatunov family against producer Andrei Razin, recognized that they have exclusive rights to 23 songs from the album “Tender May”, including “White Roses”, “Gray Night” and “Pink Evening”. This was reported by the United Press Service of the Courts of the Krasnodar Territory.

Let us remind that the trials have been going on since October 2019. At first, the singer himself fought for the rights to the hits “Tender May”, but after his death his widow Svetlana began to sue. She wanted to prove that an agreement was made between Shatunov and the group’s composer Sergei Kuznetsov on the alienation of the exclusive right to the songs. The legal heirs of the artist’s work were to be his wife, daughter and son.
On the contrary, Andrei Razin insisted that he had signed a similar contract with Kuznetsov in 1992. The producer claimed that the intellectual property rights to the compositions in “Tender May” belonged to him. However, the main evidence (the original agreement with the previous copyright holder) was not presented to the court.
By the way, at the end of 2023 the song “Gray Night” gained a new wave of popularity. Sergey Lazarev made a cover of it in French in the comedy “Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Everything.”
