SPIDER-MAN: A NEW DAY The report previews an important scene from the reunion

Active production Spider-Man: The New Day went on in London, and while Tom Holland is currently taking a short break after suffering an injury on set during an action sequence, a new rumor has surfaced about what was filmed recently.

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, “They [were] filming a scene with Peter meeting MJ and Ned.” That’s a big reveal if it were true, since Spider-Man: No Way Home finished with Zendaya’s Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson e That of Jacob Batalon Ned Leeds even forgets the existence of Peter Parker.

The last time we saw them, Peter visited MJ in the coffee shop where she worked, and there was a subtle hint that she might have recognized something familiar about him.

If Richtman’s scoop is accurate, the next film may finally make up for that moment. The big question is whether this is a chance encounter or whether it indicates that Doctor Strange’s spell is somehow unraveling New day.

Holland recently shared what he thought about shaping this new chapter for the wall crawler. “I did a lot of sneaky research online, seeing what people were saying along the way Spider-Man: No Way Home and now Spider-Man: The New Day.

“I just put together a vibe of what people were looking for and went to Marvel and said, ‘This is what I think we should do.’”

He added, “And I think that’s exactly what we’re doing. So, it’s been a really fun process developing the movie. It’s the first time I’ve been allowed to do that part of the process, and it’s definitely a stressful experience. But I think where we’ve gotten to, now that we’re shooting, we’re shooting absolute gold.”

I like his confidence. Spider-Man: The New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Crettonbest known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ringswith a script from Chris McKenna AND Erik Sommers.

It’s also in the cast Jon Bernthal, Marco Ruffalo, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Michele Mando, Tramell TillmannAND Liza Colón-Zayas. Lightning star Florence Pugh it is also said to make an appearance.

The film will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.
